Jason Wiebers

December 16, 1971 — September 13, 2024

Jason Alan Wiebers was born on December 16, 1971, the son of Larry and Patricia (Linman) Wiebers in Ida Grove, Iowa. He was baptized and later confirmed at the United Church of Christ in Schleswig, where he remained a lifelong member. Jason received his education from Schleswig High School and graduated with the class of 1990. He then attended WITCC and graduated with a degree in Agricultural Business.

Growing up with a strong connection to agriculture, Jason began his career in farming at an early age. He became known for his commitment to raising hogs and spent a significant decade working at Farmland Foods in Denison. After leaving the company, Jason farmed his own land, raised livestock, and assisted his father in cultivating the family farm. Beyond his work in agriculture, Jason had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed buying and selling bikes.

On June 21, 2003, Jason married Angela Hillhouse at the United Church of Christ in Schleswig. Together, they nurtured a warm and loving home for their two beloved children, Brecken and Kinley. Jason approached fatherhood with the same passion he had for farming, instilling values of responsibility, hard work, and love in his children.

Jason was a man of adventure; he relished every opportunity that came his way. He had a passion for exploring new places, trying diverse foods, and embracing the thrill of dynamic experiences. Jason found immense joy in exploring the world with his family, with Mexico being a particular favorite destination. His love for travel was complemented by his adventurous spirit, often seen riding his motorcycle or cruising in his car as he embraced the open road. His motorcycle excursions to Sturgis and side-by-side trips to the western states were filled with laughter and memories that will forever resonate with those who traveled alongside him. A devoted enthusiast of life, he found joy in the small things, capturing the essence of living fully. While he may not have thrived in large crowds, his warm and welcoming laid-back nature ensured that he never met a stranger. His ability to connect with others on a personal level was one of his most cherished qualities. Jason treasured every moment spent with his wife, children, family, friends, and his beloved dog, Freddy.

Jason passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 52 years, eight months and 28 days. Jason's legacy will live on through his cherished family and the numerous lives he touched. His family and friends hold dear the memories of a man who embraced life to the fullest.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents; uncle, Steve Linman; and aunt, Marsha Patterson. He is survived by his wife of over 21 years, Angela Wiebers and their two children, Brecken Wiebers and Kinley Wiebers of Schleswig; parents, Larry and Pat Wiebers of Schleswig; brother, Cory (Tana) Wiebers of Scottsdale, Arizona; father-in-law, Jim Hillhouse of Denison; mother-in-law, Laurie (Phil) Norris of Lawrence, Kansas; sisters-in-law: Sarah (Autumn) Hillhouse, Molly (Lucas) Gillmor and Brooke Hillhouse all of Denison; and many other relatives and friends.
