Jeffrey Miles

Jeffrey Martin Miles was born February 25, 1956, the son of Clifford and Charlene Ruffcorn Miles. He died Monday, December 20, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of fifty-four.
Jeff was born in Denison, Iowa. He graduated from Treynor Community High School in Treynor, Iowa. He was employed as a machinist for a plastics manufacturer in Minnesota. He also worked at a gourmet food company where he made equipment and was involved with maintenance and development of the equipment. He built a motorcycle that was featured in a motorcycle magazine and advertised by Vance & Hines Motorcycle Manufacturers of California.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren, riding motorcycles, working around the shop, and going to the races with his father. He enjoyed his car club, a group of people that cruised around on Sunday afternoon rides. In his leisure time, Jeff liked to play the guitar, go listen to local bands, attend racing events, as well as watching racing on TV and science fiction films. Jeff was a very independent individual.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Randall. Survivors include two daughters: Rachel and her husband, Mike; and Sherry; two grandchildren, Mylez and Krystin; his parents, Cliff and Nancy; one brother, Charles and his wife, Kathy; two stepbrothers, Dan and Duane; one stepsister, Elizabeth; other relatives and friends.
