Jerry D. Stull

Jerry Dean Stull was born November 27, 1936, the son of George Rex and Juanita Stull. He died at the Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison, Iowa, Sunday, May 8, 2016, at the age of seventy-nine.
Jerry was born in Unionville, Missouri. He graduated from the Unionville Community High School with the Class of 1954 and later earned his Bachelors Degree from the Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg, Missouri. June 2, 1956, Jerry was united in marriage to Virginia Fowler in Unionville. The couple was blessed with the birth of three children.
From 1962 to his retirement in 1987, Jerry was a police officer with the Kansas City Missouri Police Department. He was united in marriage to Shirley Bielow Conry, October 3, 1981, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He was baptized in Christ and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith in December of 1981. After his retirement from the Police Department, the couple moved to rural Charter Oak where he farmed and raised cattle. After suffering a heart attack in 2008, Jerry retired from farming, His memberships included: Ricketts Volunteer Fire Department, Eventide Board of Directors, Farm Bureau Board of Directors, Republican Party and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, serving as financial secretary, president, and elder. Additionally, he served as treasurer of the Triple Parish, an independent union of St. Paul, St. Luke and Immanuel Lutheran Churches in Crawford County.
In his leisure time, Jerry and Shirley enjoyed camping in areas that included Kansas, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. They camped and attended bluegrass festivals in Iowa and Missouri. He was an avid hunter and hunted bears in Canada, elk in Colorado, deer in Iowa and Missouri. He was a superb marksman.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Justin and one sister, Carol Ridgeway. Survivors include his wife, Shirley of Charter Oak; two daughters, Beverly of Florida; Deanna and her husband, Todd of Missouri; one son, David and his wife, Jennifer of Missouri; one step-son, Marlin and his wife, Laura of Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Jacob and his wife, Ailee, Shannon andCaroline; three step-grandchildren, Trevor; Kathy and her husband, Jason; Kristofer and his wife, Hua; three great-grandchildren, Hudson, Hannah and Bennett; three step great-grandchildren, Caleb, Elyse and Genghis; and one sister, Lois of Missouri; nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
