John H. Weber

February 27, 1934 — July 22, 2015

John Herman Weber was born February 27, 1934 to Herman and Marie Weber in Dunlap, Iowa. He passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at his home in Denison, Iowa, at the age of eighty-one.
John attended the rural school near his home in Dunlap. He farmed his entire life except when he enlisted in the army in 1954. On December 30, 1958 he was united in marriage to Doris Miller at Zion Lutheran by Rev. C.W. Schmidt. They were blessed with the birth of five children and lived in the Boyer Area for the entirety of their lives together.
He enjoyed the outdoors fishing in local ponds, hog farming, and having the grandkids out to visit the farm. He loved being around his family and others, whether it was playing cards with card groups in the country and his wife Doris, teaching his kids to drive, visiting with his neighbors, or watching football with his son-in-laws only so he could talk with them. He loved dancing in his younger years and watching classical westerns, World War II movies, and documentaries about nature and history in his later years.
John was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry; two sisters, Della and Helen; two brother-in-laws, Melvin and Leo; and one son-in-law, Clayton. Survivors include his wife, Doris; five daughters: Terri and her husband, Pat; Jeanne; Peggy and her husband, Greg; Karen and her husband, Tim, and Amy and her husband, John; twelve grandchildren, Samantha and her husband Kory, Jamie, Christina, Alicia, Elizabeth, Ryan, Corbin, J.T., Erik, Grant, Joe, and Jack; one brother, Richard and his wife, Stella; one sister, Ruth; one sister-in-law, Wanda Weber; many other relatives and friends.
