Joyce Margaret Rose Vogt was born February 13, 1940, the daughter of Arnold and Hatti Gluesing. She passed away on May 31, 2015 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 75.
Joyce was born in Iowa and received her education at the Denison High School, graduating in 1958. Throughout her life, she was a wife, a mother, and a homemaker. She also worked in retail for Gambles Hardware, S & S Stores, and Bomgaars. She was united in marriage to DeLaine D. Vogt on October 24, 1958. The couple made their home on a farm and were blessed with the birth of seven children.
Joyce was a loving and caring wife and mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a very social person, and spending time hanging-out-with her family was the most important thing to her. She loved to take walks every day, have dinner with friends, and traveling. Joyce was a great lover of card-playing, especially euchre. She enjoyed watching baseball and football - particularly Nebraska and the Green Bay Packers. She also loved to watch her grandkids playing sports. Joyce loved Dancing With the Stars and was a huge country music fan, attending many country concerts. Some of her favorites were Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, and Blake Shelton.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, DeLaine in 2008; her parents and grandparents; and one grandson, Tylor. Survivors include: seven children: Linda and her husband Art; Mike and his wife Lisa; Don Vogt; Brian and special friend Nancy; Russ and wife Beth; Lana and husband Darrell; Leann and her special friend Clair; one brother, Larry and his wife Jan; sixteen grandchildren: Mike (Aileen); Matthew (Jill) ; Tanner, Blake, and Isabella; Shane, Cody, Bria, Jeremy, Jennifer, Dylan, and Connor; Tiffany (Jeremy); Alycia (Jeremiah); Dustin (Robin); Jade (Greg); twenty-one great-grandchildren; many other relatives and close friends.
