Judith Ann Messenbrink was born February 21, 1942, at Manning, Iowa, the daughter of Wilmer and Berdine Ehrichs. She died at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at the age of seventy-four.
She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison on April 19, 1957. Judy received her education in the Manning and Denison Community Schools. Judy and Louis “Buzz” Messenbrink were united in marriage on January 24, 1959, and she became the wife of a career Air Force airman. They were blessed with the birth of three children. After Buzz retired from the service, they moved to Schleswig, Iowa. Judy was employed at WalMart in Denison from which she retired.
Judy was a kind, but steadfast person who was kind to everyone and very forgiving. She especially loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and siblings. She also had a special place in her heart for her dog Haley. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, bowling, fishing and golfing.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buzz; one daughter, Tamera; one granddaughter, Moriah; two sisters, Beverly and Deborah. Survivors include: one son, Rodney and his wife, Gina; one daughter, Terri and her husband, Jeremy; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters: Janet; Barb and her husband, Roger; and Sandy and her husband, Gene; Bonnie; two brothers: Rev. Randal and his wife, Robin and Thomas; other relatives and friends.
