Judith Ann Winey was born February 7, 1950, at Denison, Iowa, the daughter of Keith and Uteva Stutzman. She passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of sixty-seven.
Judy received her education in the Denison Community Schools and graduated from Denison High School. She was united in marriage to Gordon Winey on July 15, 1967, and they were blessed with two children.
She was employed as a waitress, as a secretary and in accounting at Barton County Community College in Great Bend, Kansas, and at Dodge City restaurants. Judy subsequently was employed at a grocery store in Dodge, Nebraska.
Singing and karaoke on stage with friends provided great entertainment for her. She loved the outdoors, bass fishing and camping especially at Lake Maskenthine in Nebraska. In her spare time, she enjoyed geocaching which is a game of treasure hunting, playing shuffleboard, games, cards, and Yahtzee all of which she was very competitive at. She was a big-time fan of the Nebraska Huskers and Chicago Cubs.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include: her husband, Gordon of Dodge, Nebraska; one son, Randy and his wife, Teresa of Beaverton, Oregon; one daughter, Tammy and her husband, Danny of Salem, Oregon; four grandchildren, Shawna of Dallas, Oregon; Misty of Woodland, Texas; Jacob of Beaverton, Oregon; and Timothy and his wife, Emma of Hillsboro, Oregon; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor, Talon, Tavian, Logan, Olivia, Prudence and Miriam; one sister, Sandra of Denison, Iowa; one brother, Terry and his wife, Donna of Kansas City, Kansas; other relatives and friends.
