Keith Pope

Keith (Shorty) Alan Pope was born January 11, 1962, in Denison, Iowa, the son of Jack and Betty Baker Pope. He died at his home on January 1, 2012, at the age of forty-nine.
Keith was baptized on December 27, 1964, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Kiron, Iowa, and confirmed there on December 7, 1975. He began his schooling at the Kiron Public School and continued in Denison. After his schooling, he worked for area farmers and then he started his trucking career of 20 years. For the past five years, he worked for Waldemar Farms.
Keith was united in marriage to Marcia Kluver on February 1, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and later divorced. They were blessed with the birth of one son, Dustin. He worked hard and was a friend to whomever he met in his trucking. Keith will be missed by all.
Keith was preceded in death by his brother Kevin; his grandparents, Vernie, James and Helen. He is survived by his son, Dustin; his mother, Betty; his father, Jack and wife, Sharon; his grandmother, Lula; two sisters, Kathy and friend, Don; and Kristy and her husband, Jim; one sister-in-law, Shelly and friend, Daryl; his uncle, Wayne and wife, Sharon; his aunt Marge and husband, Alvin; five nephews: Derrick; Jordan and family; Jason and family; Justinand family; Jeremy and friend Alicia; and one niece, Taylor; other relatives and many friends.
