Kenneth Neumann

Kenneth Lee Neumann was born October 31, 1948, the son of Marvin and Erma Jensen Neumann. He died Monday, June 9, 2014 at his home in Dow City, Iowa, at the age of sixty-five.
Kenneth was born in Carroll, Iowa, he was baptized December 5, 1948 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Kiron. He received his education at the Kiron Elementary School and graduated from the Denison High School with the class of 1968. Kenneth entered the United States Army in April 22, 1968, and served his country until he was honorably discharged February 28, 1970. He was united in marriage to Mary Reik in August 1972, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Odebolt, Iowa. After completing his military duties, he returned to Western, Iowa. He was employed by a phone companies in Ida Grove, Holstein, Sac City, Fort Dodge and Denison. Later he did independent contract work and then retired in 2012, from the Communication Industry.
Kenneth had a passion for cars. He enjoyed, car racing, drag racing, truck pulling, fast cars, car shows, and working on engines. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and trapping with his kids. He also loved fishing and competing in fishing competitions, and won many trophies for fishing. Kenneth enjoyed jazz, blues, and classical rock music, also watching action shows on television. He was a member of the Buck Grove Community Club. Kenneth was a kind and caring man to everyone, he loved to offer help to anyone that was in need. Socializing with his family and friends was a favorite part of Kenneth’s everyday life.
Kenneth is preceded in death by: his parents and one sister, Shirley. Survivors include: special friend, Brenda; two sons, Scott and special friend, Leah; Brett; one grandchild, Casey; one brother, Jim and his wife, Kandra; one sister, Diane and her husband, Brad, other relatives and friends.
