Larry Bohnker

Larry Lyle Bohnker was born June 24, 1946, the son of Lyle and Wilma Harris Bohnker. He passed away at his home in Denison, Iowa, on Sunday, September 2, 2012, at the age of 66.
Larry was born in Denison, Iowa, and was a lifelong Crawford County resident. In the late 50s he moved with his family to a farm south of Denison, in what is now known as the City View Addition. Larry attended the Denison Community Schools and graduated with the class of 1966. After graduation, Larry enlisted in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He recently retired from Farmland Foods after being employed there for 33 years. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying. Larry also liked to motor bike and attended many flight and motor bike conventions. He looked forward to visiting with his friends at the local restaurants and airport. Larry was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Denison.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include two sisters, Cynthia Bohnker of Santa Rosa, California; and Julie Hallum and her husband, Donald of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, James Bohnker and his wife, Alice of Anacortes, Washington; one nephew, Zach Hallum and his wife, Lauren of Cleveland, Ohio; and one niece, Sallie Burroughs and her husband, Brandon of Pasadena, California; three aunts: MaryLou Bohnker of Denison; Shirley Brandenburg of Yucaipa, California; and Evelyn Harris of Paton, Iowa; one uncle, Grant Wolf of Ames, Iowa; and other relatives and friends.
