Laurel Ann Bohlander was born May 4, 1951, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Melvin and Anna Bohlander. She died April 22, 2018, after a short illness, at the age of sixty-six.
After high school, she trained at the Iowa Commission for the Blind. Her work was at Tip-Top Products in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and the Tommy Dale Orphanage, Goodwill Industries, and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. She was a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, for the past eight years. Laurel saw with the eyes of faith and showed kindness, courage, and compassion throughout her life.
She is survived by a brother, Larry and his wife, Mary; a sister, Janet and her husband, Philip; a nephew, Matthew and his wife, Allison; and a niece, Kristen and her husband, Liam. Her family wishes to thank all who cared for her at Providence Assisted Living, Springdale, Arkansas, and the Circle of Life team.
