Linda-Lea (Chambers) Marten was born April 16, 1945, the daughter of Warren and Lois Chambers. She died Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at her winter home in Mesa, Arizona, at the age of sixty-nine.
Linda-Lea was born in Maryville, Missouri, and grew up in Fairfax, Missouri, where she received her education. After graduating from Fairfax High School with the class of 1963, she attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
On September 13, 1964, she married the love of her life Dennis Marten at the Presbyterian Church in Fairfax, Missouri. The couple made their home in Denison and were blessed with the birth of two children, Kelly and Jayson.
Linda-Lea treasured her family. She was an incredible wife, mom and Nana. She and Denny had a fun, full life together with their children and grandchildren, as well as golfing, traveling and enjoying many friends. Linda-Lea loved to play bridge and the piano. She always had a big heart and had a kind word and a smile for everyone.
Linda-Lea was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Marten, her parents Warren and Lois Chambers, and her parents-in-law Ralph and Marie Marten. She is survived by her daughter; Kelly and her husband, Mark; her son, Jayson and his wife Dana; four grandchildren: Colin and Sarah; and Jackson and Kennedy; brothers and sisters-in law: Bill and Sharon, David and Renae, Diane, Dick and Carole, Mary, and Joan; other relatives and many friends.
We will miss you, Linda-Lea, and will "love you up to the sky” forever. We know you are having a "kitchen dance" with Denny right now in heaven.
