Lonnie B. Dalton

Lawrence “Lonnie” Bryan Dalton was born September 27, 1942, the son of Bryan and Agnes Fineran Dalton. He died Saturday, August 20, 2016, at the Denison Care Center, Denison, Iowa, at the age of seventy-three.
Lonnie was born in Denison, Iowa and received his education in a rural school near his home. After completing his education he helped on the family farm northwest of Vail, Iowa until moving with his mother to Denison in 1959. He did lawn mowing and snow removal for residents in Denison.
Lonnie was a very caring and loyal person who liked to be helpful to other people and always had a smile for you. He loved Fr. Kelly and considered St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church as part of his extended family and loved the association with them. He especially liked helping serve at Masses and during funerals. Lonnie had a knack for remembering birthdays and always decorated his parents' graves as well as grandparents and those of other relatives with his favorite peonies. Lonnie moved to the Denison Care Center in 2010.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Thomas Dalton; and nephew Bryan Dalton. Survivors include his sister-in-law, Evelyn Dalton; two great nephews; numerous cousins and friends.
