Lori Jean Schneckloth

December 20, 1960 — September 7, 2023

Lori Jean Schneckloth was born on December 20, 1960, to Virgil and Phyllis (Genzen) Denker in Denison, Iowa. She was raised in the Lutheran faith and attended Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. She graduated from Denison High School with the class of 1979.

Following high school, Lori went on to cosmetology school and worked in that industry for a short time. She found her passion in the nursing and went back to school and obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing degree. Lori was employed at the Denison Care Center and Eventide in Denison. She also spent time working as a traveling nurse.

Lori was united in marriage to Scott Schneckloth on June 27, 1981, and they were blessed with four children: Shannon, Tatum, Jared and Dylan. The couple later divorced, and she made her home in Dow City.

Lori loved spending time with her family and making memories. She especially cherished taking her grandchildren shopping, swimming and to get ice cream. Music was something she was able to listen to and find peace.

Lori passed away surrounded by family on September 7, 2023, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa at the age of 62 years, eight months, 18 days.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Deanna Denker. She is survived by her two daughters: Shannon Schwenn (Matt Kennedy) of Clear Lake and Tatum McGinn of Manning; two sons: Jared Schneckloth of Clear Lake and Dylan (Tara) Schneckloth of Denison; 13 grandchildren: Blake, Taylor, Lauren, Taryn, Nevaeh, Alikxa, Teagan, Brendan, Madison, Brooklyn, Makena, Bennett, and Theo; three sisters: Rhonda Cool of Kansas City, Missouri, Linda (Jim) Thomas of Des Moines, and Lisa (Scott) Dollerschell of Sioux City; significant other, Jesse of Dow City; and many other relatives and friends.
