Louise Minnie Margaret Krueger was born March 29, 1922, the daughter of Carl and Frieda Weifenbach Schable. She passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010, at Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of eighty-eight.
Louise was born in Danbury, Iowa. She was baptized in Christ on May 28, 1922, at St. Peters Evangelical Church in Mapleton, Iowa, and confirmed on May 31, 1936, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Mapleton. She received her education in rural school near her home.
She married Arthur William Krueger in Rockport, Missouri, on August 5, 1941. After Arthur returned from his service during WW II, they farmed near Danbury for four years. They then moved to the farm near Charter Oak and Ricketts, Iowa, where Arthur was born and where Louise lived the rest of her life.
Louise dedicated herself and her life to her family. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family, baking and decorating special birthday cakes and creating family meals. Her hobbies included creating crafts, baking, sewing and visiting with family and friends. She was known for her apple pie and apple cakes. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Soldier Township, Charter Oak, Iowa, where she served in several capacities and offices in the Ladies Aid. She participated in various activities of the Ladies Aid, including making quilts and serving at special church functions.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur on September 29, 1977; one brother, Carl Schable and his wife, Allie; one son-in-law, Larry Mesenbrink; and two brothers-in-law: Julius Jepsen and Lester Lund. Survivors include three sons: Arthur Krueger and his wife, Darla of Battle Creek; Kenneth Krueger and his wife, Susan of Danbury; and Robert Krueger and his wife, Nancy of Battle Creek; one daughter, Luann Mesenbrink of Denison; ten grandchildren; twelve great_grandchildren; two sisters: Doris Jepsen of Battle Creek, Iowa; and Minnie Berner and her husband, Raymond of Seymour, Iowa; one brother, Louis Schable and his wife, Joann of Battle Creek, Iowa; many other relatives and friends.
