Lucille Riesselman

Lucille Christinia Riesselman was born April 30, 1925, the daughter of Bernard and Caroline Sander Leiting. She passed away Friday, July 1, 2011, at the Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison, Iowa at the age of eighty-six.
Lucille was born in Arcadia, Iowa. She attended Arcadia Community Schools, graduating with the class of 1943. She was united in marriage to Walter Riesselman on April 30, 1947, at St. Johns Catholic Church in Arcadia, Iowa.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, and was a talented seamstress, sewing most of her sons clothing when they were small. She was able to crochet almost anything. Lucille was a dedicated volunteer, helping with many dinners at church, working at the CCMH gift shop and snack bar, helping as teachers aide at St. Anns Catholic School, and donating blood regularly. She loved to travel with her husband. She belonged to the Crawford County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Good Time Club, the Get Together Club, and was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Vail, Iowa.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Duane in 1983; one sister, Velma; two brothers: Norman in infancy; and Loren and his wife, Ester; two sisters-in-law: Delores and Barbara; and seven brothers-in-law: Virgil; Herbert; Bill; Vince; Leonard; Thomas; and Henry. Survivors include her husband, Walter; three sons: Steve and his wife, Connie; Jerome and his wife, Dolores; and Mark and his wife, Kim; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five brothers: Harold; Denis and his wife, Marie; Vincent and his wife, Alvina, Ronald and his wife, Shirley; and Alvin; one sister, Bernice; six sisters-in-law: Marie; Regina; Alice; Kathryn and her husband, Bob; Dolores; and Linda; four brothers-in-law: Lawrence and his wife, Ada; Andrew and his wife, Joan; Leonard and his wife, Donna; and Vernon and his wife, Betty; other relatives and friends.
