Marcella J. Reis

Marcella Jean Reis was born November 7, 1938, at Denison, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Augusta Chrestensen. She passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of seventy-eight.
She received her education in the schools near her home and graduated from Denison High School with the Class of 1956. On December 3, 1956, Marcella was united in marriage to Merlyn Reis at Tucumcari, New Mexico, and they settled in Denison, Iowa, where she was a homemaker, taking care of her family.
Marcella enjoyed talking on the phone, socializing with family and friends, especially at gatherings and picnics. Her favorite TV programs were the Home Shopping Network, soaps, Wheel of Fortune and Gunsmoke. Going to the casino with Merlyn and dancing with her son Ricky were special pastimes for her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merlyn in 2000; one sister, Mildred and her husband, Lee; and one brother, Jr. Survivors include: four sons, Randy and his wife Cindy, Ricky and his wife Connie, Ronald and his wife Vicky, and Robert; one daughter, Rachelle and her husband, Terry; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister-in-law, Ann; special friend, Rosie; other relatives and friends.
