Marco T. Malone

Marco Thomas Malone was born September 7, 1960, at Ida Grove, Iowa, the son of Samuel and Betty Malone. He passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of fifty-seven.
Marco graduated from Denison High School with the class of 1980 and began employment at Dubuque packing plant in Denison. He then trucked with Mark Gaa and in 1992 began driving truck for Malone Trucking and then for Holloway’s which he continued until his health failed. Marco was united in marriage to Velvet Dinkel September 1, 2001, at Mantino Lake at Earling, Iowa, after becoming close friends with the Holloway family.
In his leisure time, Marco enjoyed fishing in the region at local ponds and on the river, hunting and woodworking. He had recently purchased an Allis Chalmers tractor which he was restoring and hoped to drive on the tractor poker run. His dog “Baby” had a special place in his heart and was his pride and joy. They walked, ate and slept together as well as being his fishing companion.
Marco was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Theresa, who died in infancy; two nephews, LaDel and Matthew. Survivors include: his wife, Velvet; two daughters: Tina and her husband, Billy; and Crystal; one son, Daniel; two brothers: Ernie and his wife, Wendi; and Lawrence and his wife, Paula; one sister, Alice and her husband, Bob; one aunt, Mary Ann; one uncle, Max and his wife, Clara; other relatives and friends.
