Marilyn M. Kuehl was born on October 2nd, 1929 at her home in Crawford County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Herman and Marie (Kuhlmann) Schultz. She was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church in Charter Oak and attended St. John Lutheran School.
On October 15, 1950, Marilyn was united in marriage to Norman Kuehl and from this union, they were blessed with two children. The family made their home in Charter Oak and later moved to Denison.
In her professional journey, Marilyn shared her skills and dedication with various organizations. She worked for Worldwide Meats for six years, then contributed six years of service to Dialock, Best Western Motel for six years and then she spent eleven fulfilling years at Eventide Lutheran Home where she selflessly cared for others.
Throughout her life, Marilyn's greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She adored her children and grandchildren and treasured the moments they shared together. Her warm smile and caring nature touched the lives of countless friends and relatives. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.
Marilyn passed away peacefully on Monday, January 1, 2024 at Gracewell - Eventide Lutheran Home, attaining the age of 94 years, 2 months, and 30 days. In addition to her parents, Herman and Marie Schultz, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Kuehl; sisters; Marcella Harbaugh, and Vernet Wessel; and brother, Charles Schultz.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Kuehl and his wife Cecelia of Mill Creek, Washington; daughter, Janet and her husband James Bielfeldt of Arion; granddaughters: Lera and Maria; great grandchildren: Mariana, Abel, and Axel; sister, Ruth Reincke of Denison; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service to celebrate Marilyn M. Kuehl will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Following the service, Marilyn will be laid to rest at Crawford Heights Memory Gardens in Denison. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Marilyn's name. These donations will honor her memory and continue her tradition of helping others as she did throughout her life.
