Marjorie A. Powell

Marjorie A. Powell was born December 28, 1947, the daughter of Donald and Maxine Weinbrandt. She died at the Denison Care Center, Saturday November 19, 2016, at the age of sixty-eight.
Marge grew up in Denison and received her education in the Denison Community Schools. After completing her education in 1966, she worked as a waitress at the U & I Caf and Cronk’s Restaurant in Denison. She then worked as a bookkeeper for Vernie Kuenholdt and then Jerry Schwarte. She subsequently started Marges Bookkeeping and Tax Service and owned the Credit Bureau for a few years. She did Quarterly Tax Reports and payroll’s for several area businesses and kept the books for Bed Rock Concrete and other area businesses. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Powell, September 11, 2006.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed golfing and hit a hole-in-one at the Manning and Manilla Golf Course. She enjoyed her grandchildren, socializing with family and friends, romance movies and reading.
She is preceded in death by one daughter, Lori Ann in 1970 and her parents. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy; two sons, Cory; and Tim and his wife, Christie; fifteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one brother, Reynold and his wife, Barb; and two sisters, Elaine and her husband, Travis; and Diane and her husband, Terry; other relatives and many friends.
