As a child, Marge loved country life, spending time outdoors, working with animals and livestock, helping her dad with chores, visiting relatives and neighbors and playing with siblings and friends. She attended country school at Hanover #5 near her home in Crawford County and graduated from Charter Oak-Ute High School with the class of 1962. She was united in marriage to Ernest Ullerich Jr. on September 3, 1971 in Omaha, Nebraska.
