Mark A. Blunk

Mark Allen Blunk passed away at his home in Lake View, Iowa on December 8, 2022. He was born May 5, 1964 in Denison, Iowa to Dennis and Julie Blunk of Kiron. He grew up in Kiron and attended school in Kiron. Mark was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Kiron.

Mark worked several years trucking for Elroy Koch; Toyne Fire Trucks; Iowa Coolers; and several other jobs over the years.

In 2003, Mark met Jean Berg and they had a son, Cameron in 2004. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, motorcycle riding and collecting everything, "One man's junk is another man's treasure." He mostly enjoyed spending time with his son, Cameron, whom he cherished above all.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents: Dennis and Julie Blunk; his maternal and paternal grandparents. Those left to cherish are his son, Cameron Blunk (Jacky Galdamez) of Kiron; special friend, Vicki Theide of Lake View; brothers: Mike (Kim) Blunk of Peoria, Arizona and Merrit (Tricia) Blunk of Kiron; sister, Shelly Green of Carroll; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022 with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Inurnment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Denison.
