Mark Winsor

Mark Alan Winsor was born December 12, 1954, the son of Kenneth and Lorna Johannsen Winsor. He passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, at the Odebolt Nursing and Rehab Center in Odebolt, Iowa, at the age of fifty-seven after a brief illness.
Mark was born in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized in Christ on January 16, 1955, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig and later confirmed there on March 30, 1969. He received his education in the Schleswig Community School, graduating with the class of 1973. February of 1974, Mark was united in marriage to Becky Aaronson at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ute, Iowa. From this union they were blessed with the birth of two children.
He loved visiting and socializing with his family and friends. His family was very important to him. He enjoyed family gatherings, the family environment and was a good story teller. He worked in various areas as he traveled and while living in Oregon. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, gardening, and cooking. Mark enjoyed work and was a strong man emotionally and physically. In his earlier years he liked fast cars and in later years, trucks.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include his children, Heidi and her husband, Ryan; and Heath and special friend, Amy; four grandchildren, Katelyn, Tanner, Ethan, and Patience; his parents, Kenneth and Lorna Mae; three sisters, Peggy; Marsha; and Lori and her husband, Russ; three nephews, one niece; and other relatives and friends.
