Private Family Services will be held. The Public is invited to join the family at the Deloit Cemetery for the Graveside Service Saturday at 11:30 A.M. maintaining social distancing.
Marlene Mae Andresen Graham was born July 14, 1929, in Ida Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Frieda Andresen. She passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at the Spencer Hospital in Spencer, Iowa, at the age of ninety.
Marlene received her education at Denison High School and graduated with the class of 1947. April 18, 1949, Marlene was united in marriage to Jim Graham and together they owned and operated the DX and Texaco Gas Stations in Denison. Marlene was the accountant keeping the books for the business and worked alongside her husband. The couple was blessed with four children: Stephen, Richard, Debra and Mark.
In earlier years, Marlene enjoyed working in the yard and garden, fishing and having garage sales. For four years, she lived with her son, Richard and wife in their home until she required more care. Marlene spent her last years at St. Luke's Nursing Home in Spencer, Iowa.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim; her oldest son, Stephen; infant son, Mark; and her brother, Andy. Those left to cherish her memory include: one son, Richard and his wife, Julie; one daughter, Debra and her husband, Richard; six grandchildren: Charlette, Jim, Stephan, Timari, Nicki and Jonah; three great-grandchildren: Bailey, Afton and Lonnie; two great-great-grandchildren: Cashton and Jaxton; one sister, Bonnie; other relatives and friends.
