Mary Loudell Williams was born May 6, 1935, the daughter of Joe and Dovie Luke Singletary. She died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at her home in Saint Joseph, Missouri, at the age of seventy-five.
Mary was born in Barron County, Georgia, where she received her education and graduated with the class of 1953. On October 4, 1969, she was united in marriage to Phillip Williams in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She worked at the packing plants in Denison, Iowa, and also at J.C. Penneys before going to Farmland Foods.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was fond of her husbands family as well. She dearly loved her granddaughter and taking care of her. She was a fantastic cook and found great joy in spending time outdoors tending to her flower garden, taking care of her birdhouses, camping and fishing. She enjoyed attending her sons sporting events, watching him perform with the show choir and also listening to him sing a solo of the National Anthem at the White Sox and the Royals baseball games. She liked working out at the gym with her girlfriends. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Saint Joseph, Missouri, and previously of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison. She enjoyed working at the church and serving with the Ladies Guild.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Russell and his wife, Liz. Survivors include her husband, Phil; one son, Phillip and his wife, Christy; one granddaughter, Greysen; one sister, Betty and her husband, Carson; one brother, Melvin and his wife, Sarah; other relatives and friends.
