Nancy Leeper

Nancy Jo Leeper was born March 20, 1948, the daughter of Lyle and Josephine Evans Thompson. She passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of sixty-three.
She was born in Ute, Iowa, attended high school there, and graduated with the class of 1966. She worked at Cronks Restaurant, Dubuque Packing Plant for ten years, and most recently at Tyson Foods for 23 years.
She enjoyed photography, researching family history, flower and rock gardening, going out to eat, talking on the phone, and taking care of peoples farms on the Facebook game "Farmville." She liked to decorate cakes, making many wedding cakes, took pictures for her family, and was able to restore old photographs for people. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and took memorable camping trips with her children when they were younger. She also loved her dog, Simba.
She was preceded in death by parents. She is survived by three children: Jenny and her husband, Leroy; Brad and his wife, April; and Shelly; seven grandchildren: Samantha Kay; Jesse Alan; Kayla Jo; Bryce Andrew; Jordan Christopher, Hannah Jo, and Devon Todd; one great-grandchild, Kaylee Rose; one sister, Barbie and her husband, Allan; and one brother, David; other relatives and friends.
