Nick Kragel was born September 11, 1967, in Denison, Iowa, the son of Gene and Jo Kragel. He died at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, Monday, January 16, 2017, at the age of forty-nine.
Nick grew up in Charter Oak where he received his education. He was united in marriage to Sarah Kohnekamp August 20, 1994, at the Assemblies of God Church in Denison. The couple was blessed with the birth of two children. His working career was spent in farming and trucking with his brother.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cruising around the local area on his motorcycle and socializing with friends. He was especially close to his children and grandchildren. His TV favorites were the hunting, weather and history channels and Fox News. Nick also liked watching football, especially the Denver Broncos being his favorite team and NASCAR racing especially Jeff Gordon. He also enjoyed listening to several styles of music.
Nick was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Dean Kragel in infancy. Survivors include: his wife, Sarah; one daughter, Tessica Rosenau and her husband, Tyler and one son, Levi Kragel; two grandchildren; his father, Gene Kragel and his wife, Lori; one brother; Scott Kragel and his wife, Phyllis; one sister, Kris Dale and her husband, Al; other relatives and friends.
