Patricia Ann Alexander was born on October 7, 1944, to Earl and Irma Wheeler in Minnesota. Patricia graduated from Tech High School in Des Moines, Iowa. Following high school, she attended cosmetology school and worked as a beautician. She then attended art school.
Patricia married Larry Alexander on November 22, 1968, in Des Moines. Patricia worked at the state office building in Des Moines and then at JCPenney's for years; all while also working at a beauty shop. Pat and Larry moved from Tama to Denison in 2012 and lived at Heritage Heights until Larry's passing. Wendy admired her mother for caring for her parents and she wanted to do the same. Wendy became certified and cared for Larry and Patricia for nine years.
