Patricia Ann Schultz

Patricia Ann (Aldag) Schultz was born March 9, 1939, the daughter of Gordon and Erma (Jahn) Aldag. She was born on a farm near Vail, Iowa and was baptized on April 23, 1939 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison and later confirmed her faith on April 6, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Grant Township, Ida County, Iowa. Patricia received her education from Schleswig High School, receiving her G.E.D. in 1976.

On April 27, 1956, Patricia was joined in marriage to Leslie Carl Schultz at Trinity Lutheran Church, Grant Township, Ida County. They were blessed with the birth of five children. Patricia worked as a nurse's aide, telephone operator, physical therapist, high school secretary and farmed with Leslie. After the purchase of Farmers Feed and Grain in Schleswig in 1984, Patricia worked in the feed store with the family business. Patricia enjoyed dancing, playing cards and dice, flowers, camping, school events, visiting with friends at the feed store and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Patricia passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa attaining the age of eighty-two years, five months and seventeen days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband: Leslie Carl; one sister: Betty Johannsen and one brother: William "Bill" Aldag; brothers-in-law: Ted Ochsner, Wesley Sherman and Allen Schultz and his wife Mary; sister-in-law: Evelyn and her husband Kermit Greenstreet.

Survivors left to cherish their memories of Patricia include her children: Cynthia and her husband DeWayne Booth of Omaha, Nebraska, Terri Durston of Ida Grove, Becky and her husband Michael Mordhorst of Ute, Scott Schultz of Schleswig and Sandra and her husband Karl Wittorf of Schleswig; 11 grandchildren: Leslie and her husband Adam Engelman, Ashley and her husband Robert Carlisle, Ian Durston and his wife Chelsey, Dane Durston, Sara and her husband Joseph Abrego, Trent Mordhorst and his wife Ali, Amanda and her husband Korey Collins, Kristal Mordhorst and her fiancé Patrick Cavanaugh, Adayla Schultz, Kelsey Wittorf and Karli Wittorf; 11 great-grandchildren: Thomas and Peter Engelman, Brynn and Hailey Carlisle, Rhett and Thatcher Durston, Alice, Jameson and Damon Abrego, Delaney and Marley Mordhorst; one brother: Ronald Aldag and his wife Nancy of Apple Valley, California; brother-in-law: Murlin Johannsen of Schleswig; sisters-in-law: Peggy Aldag of Schleswig, Phyllis Ochsner of Florissant, Colorado and Ruth Sherman of Lincoln, Nebraska; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation is 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Huebner Funeral Home in Schleswig. Funeral Service is 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig. Interment is in Morgan Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
