Patricia R. Lary

Patricia Ruth Lary was born June 29, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Louis and Gloria Shirk Midura. She passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of sixty-two.
Pat received her education in the Manilla Schools and graduated from Manilla High School with the class of 1976. She was united in marriage to Ron Lary in December of 1979 and they were blessed with two children, Adam and Melissa. Pat was employed at Ettleman’s in Dow City in the early 1990s and then began working at the Reed House in Denison in 2007, retiring in 2014.
Crafting and painting rocks were her favorite pastime activities. She also found great pleasure in her dogs, gardening, music and watching her granddaughter play volleyball. Her favorite television programs were America’s Got Talent, soap operas and Dancing With the Stars.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Adam Lary; and one sister, Jean Bono. Survivors include: her husband, Ron Lary of Dow City; one daughter, Melissa Lary and special friend Aaron Nielsen of Omaha, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Hannah Nielsen and Chase Brandt; one brother, Steve Midura and his wife, Nancy of Delaware, Ohio; two sisters, Sue Midura of Danville, Michigan and Julie Maceri of Detroit, Michigan; other relatives and friends.
