Rick Namanny

Richard Allen Namanny was born December 8, 1950, the son of Leonard and Esther Meggers Namanny. He died Saturday, November 7, 2009, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of fifty-eight.
Rick was born in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized in Christ on December 30, 1951, at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison and later confirmed there on April 3, 1966. He received his education at the Denison Community School, graduating with the class of 1970. After completing his education he worked for IBP, Farmland and for Marvins Provisions in Vail. He later worked for Farner Bocken in Carroll for seventeen years. On April 1, 1972, Rick was united in marriage to Connie Peterson at the Methodist Church in Denison.
He was a kindhearted guy with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, gardening and cooking and in his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf. He served in the National Guard for six years.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Larry, Terry and Allen and one sister, Barbara. Survivors include three daughters, Michelle Bequeaith and her husband, Dan of Polk City; Lisa Kollasch and her husband, Keith of Auburn, Nebraska; Cherie Scholten and her husband, Sam of Omaha, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine Chapman and her husband, Harold of Arion; Peg Kepford and her husband, Larry of Denison; four brothers, Don Namanny of Denison; Dave Namanny and his wife, Sherry of Schaller; Ron Namanny of Harlan; and Kevin Namanny of Denison; twenty-six nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
