Robert (Bob) Caddell, 79 of Vail, Iowa passed away peacefully on June 19, 2022 joining his loved ones in heaven. Bob was born on August 24, 1942 to Archie and Adeline Caddell of Harlan. He was baptized and later confirmed into the Catholic faith.
On November 23, 1963, Bob married Regina (Jeanie) Miller, daughter of Jim and Frances Miller at St. Ann Catholic Church in Vail. To this union, they were blessed with a daughter, Sherry. They made their home in Vail.
Bob worked at Farmland Foods for 38 years in Denison. He was an avid classic car enthusiast and won many trophies over the years with his hobby. He was an active member of the Show and Shine Car Club. He cherished his family more than anything, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his wife, Jeanie Caddell of Vail; daughter, Sherry and her husband Gary Baker of Vail; sisters, Bonita Rasmussen of Harlan and Marlene (Gary) Doyel of Humboldt; the greatest joys in his life were his granddaughter, Amber Ford and her husband Michael of Papillion, NE, grandson, Jeremy Johnston and his wife Melanie of Carroll; great-granddaughters, Shyler Johnston of Carroll and Baby Girl Ford due in September; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 with a Rosary at 4:45 p.m. at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Vail with burial to follow in St. Ann Catholic Cemetery in Vail. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in Bob's memory, c/o Huebner Funeral Home.
