Robert W. “Bob” Klinker was born April 4, 1941, the son of Walter and Marion Klinker. He passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of seventy-four.
Bob was born in Denison, Iowa. He graduated from Denison High School and was a member of the United States Army, stationed in Germany. From the age of fourteen, he was a truck driver, and throughout his life, drove truck for Ring, Mau, and Mid Continent. He also drove race and stock cars. In 1985, Robert was united in marriage to Mary Craven in Ft. Worth, Texas. They were blessed with the birth of one daughter, Cynthia.
Bob’s love was pickup pulling and has won many awards for it. He also loved country music, and Reba McIntyre was one of his favorite singers. Above all, Bob was a family man and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren, irritating his sisters, and planning year-round for family reunions.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; two brothers, Larry and William; one sister, Judy: Survivors include: his children Cynthia and her husband, Dean; Theresa Anthony; Eric and his wife, Alma; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; two brothers; Ronald; Dale; four sisters: Jan and her husband, Edward; Joleen and companion, Harry Shanks; JoAnn; Joyce; lifelong close friends Fern and Bill, Randy; and Brenda; many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
