Roger L Boehm

Roger Lee Boehm was born November 4, 1951, the son of Walter and Helen Weltz Boehm. He passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014, in his home in Denison, Iowa, at the age of sixty-two.
Roger was born in Denison and attended Charter Oak-Ute Community Schools, graduating with the class of 1970. Following high school he worked for Ted Cornelius at a service station in uptown Denison. On April 27, 1971 he was drafted into the United States Army, serving in Vietnam until being honorably discharged on April 29, 1972. Upon returning he began working at Community Oil as Manager of the Service Station. During the summer he worked for Hostings Concrete. He also worked for Krajicek Trucking and Launderville Construction. On September 4, 1970, Roger was united in marriage to Lois Slechta; the couple was blessed with the birth of one daughter. Roger was later blessed with the birth of one son with Jan Eggers.
Roger was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with friends and family and traveling to Vegas with them. He was an avid race fan who loved taking his son to the races each weekend. He also enjoyed horse races at Aksarben and dog races in Council Bluffs. Summers he could be found camping and boating. He loved his three dogs, bowling, and playing softball, poker, and euchre. He was a huge Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore Orioles fan as well.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: one daughter, Angele; one son, Michael and his wife, Ashley; one sister, Betty and her husband, Dennis; one brother, Robert; other relatives and friends.
