Ronald Blume

Ronald Virgil Blume was born March 16, 1941, the son of Arnold and Martha Stolz Blume. He passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas, at the age of seventy-one.
Ron was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and raised on a farm near Dunlap, Iowa. He attended Catholic School in Dunlap. Ronald owned farms in Iowa and Minnesota and was a loyal employee of Fagen, Inc. in Granite Falls, Minnesota, as a construction supervisor for 22 years, working on 47 locations in over nine states.
Ron was united in marriage to Marjorie Lahr in 1962. Ron was known as a kind and giving man and loved to be around people. He enjoyed telling fun stories and reminiscing about the past. He lived his life serving others and loved to see them have fun. Ron was a collector and took joy in buying old tractors and having them restored. He was later married to Linda Clementson in 1985 in Little Fork, Minnesota. Ron had a special place in his heart and was a generous supporter and friend of St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital. It meant a lot to him to help other children in need.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Paul and his wife, Opal. He is survived by one nephew, Rick and his wife, Suzi; one niece, Paula and her husband,Tyson; his special friend, Janet; many cousins, other relatives, and friends.
