An angel came from heaven on June 17, 1928. Most called her Ruth or Ruthie but we called her Mom and Grandma. Ruth Maryann (Neddermeyer) Moeller returned home on March 6, 2017 at her home in Boise, Idaho at the age of 88.
Ruth was born the oldest child to Robert and Edna Neddermeyer in St. Clair Township, Ute, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in faith at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She received her education in Ute Iowa graduating in 1947.
After graduation she moved to Omaha, Nebraska to work at Orchard & Wilhelm. On Oct 17, 1953 she was united in marriage with Gordon G Moeller at a Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska. The couple was married for 52 years and had 3 children, Steve, Mike and Keri. Ruth made her home in Iowa, California, Washington and Idaho.
Mom was our soft rock and taught us all the important lessons in life by the way she lived…always say thank you; be gentle and kind; keep plenty of paper towels, Kleenex and baggies on hand; be ready with a smile and a little forgiveness; pack a thoughtful lunch for those you love; enjoy the flowers; let tomato juice run down your chin; laugh a lot; make pilaf and bake pies with love; shop until you drop; enjoy all of God’s creatures; show your sentimental side; always say “grace” before dinner and find a BFF (best furry feline) to share your secrets... Missy, the cat, will miss you.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Gordon, daughter-in-law Denise Moeller, brother Ervin Neddermeyer, sister and brother-in-law Marlene and Wilfred Goslar, brother-in-law and niece Roger and Vicki Lansman, brother-in-law Charles Moeller, brother-in-law and nephew Robert and Jeff Moeller.
Survivors include children, Steven; Michael; and Keri; two grandsons, Steven; Cody and fianc Brandi and their son Daryn; one sister Millie; brother John (Butch) and his wife Joan; five sisters-in-law Carol; Cha; Georgene and husband Stan; Jolene; Doris; brother- in- law, Fredrick and wife Pat; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Mom, you shared the best of yourself with us and enriched our lives. As you complete your final journey we know you would look back at your time on Earth and say “that was a good stop.”
