Scott R. Brotherson

July 1, 1974 — April 30, 2011

Scott Richard Brotherson was born July 1, 1974, the son of Richard and Donna Martens Brotherson. He passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at his home near Vail, Iowa.
Scott was born in Carroll, Iowa, and baptized in Christ on July 28,1974, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll by Rev. Timothy Koenig. He was confirmed into the Lutheran faith on May 1, 1988, by Rev. Roger Carlisle at Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake, Iowa. He attended Wall Lake Community Schools and graduated with the class of 1992. He earned his Associates Degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College in the mid 2000s and was currently working on his bachelors degree through Buena Vista University. He worked for Cook Siding of Wall Lake, for several years, but his true love was working fence and restoring windmills, so it was truly a blessing that he was able to turn that into his own business.
He had a big, caring heart with a bright, infectious smile, and great sense of humor. He was a loving son and brother, always ready to assist someone that needed help. His family and friends were very important to him and he made it a point to visit them often. He loved to read and debate politics, and also played the accordion. He was our angel on earth and is now Gods angel in heaven.
Scott was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clayton and Edna; maternal grandfather, Leonard; and paternal uncle Curt. He will be dearly missed by his parents, Richard and Donna; one brother, Travis and his wife, Kristi; maternal grandmother, Marrola; two nephews: Devin and his wife, Ashley; and Derek; maternal aunt, Carolyn and husband Eugene; paternal aunt, Susanne; four cousins: Karen and her husband, John; Ron and his wife, Angie; Ryan and his wife, Mary Beth; and Matt and his wife, Kodi; along with many other extended family members and friends.
