Sharon R. Slinger

Sharon Raenee Slinger was born July 9, 1960, at Denison, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Irene Pedersen. She passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at her home in Charter Oak, Iowa, at the age of fifty-six.
She was baptized in Christ and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison on June 2, 1974. Sharon received her education in the local schools and was a graduate of Denison High School with the class of 1978. On December 23, 2008, she was united in marriage to David Slinger, after being together thirty years. She had been employed at Eventide Lutheran Home in Denison and was a care giver for several people in Charter Oak.
Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, who called her Nana. Sharon enjoyed gardening with her husband, but not on her own. In her leisure time, she liked listening to rock and country rock music. Her favorite television programs were NCIS Miami, Criminal Minds and Forensic Suspense series.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Howard; and one sister, Connie. Survivors include: her husband, David; one son, Jake and his wife, Arielle; and Raymond and his fianc, Erika; five grandchildren; three brothers; Leo and special friend, Jacque; Larry; and Rick; other relatives and friends.
