Shirley Louise Morgan was born April 17, 1960 in Denison, Iowa, the daughter of Ronald and Ruth (Jessen) Crouch. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She received her education in Schleswig.
On August 28, 1977, she entered into marriage to Jerold Morgan at Bartlett's Park in Kiron. To this union, three children were born: Jeremy, Rachel, and Ryan. They made their home in Denison. From the very beginning, she dedicated her children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the gospels.
Shirley worked for Farmland for over 25 years where she made many friends. She was a good Christian woman and was a longtime member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Deloit. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School for many years. More recently, she had a program called C.I.A. (Christians In Action); a youth group in the church.
She enjoyed playing cards with her grandchildren and teaching them to cook. She was very supportive of her grandchildren and loved attending their activities. She had a passion for farm animals, especially cats and butterflies. Shirley was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed going to Ryan and Kayla's farm to see all the baby animals. She loved going to Jeremy and Lisa's house to play with their dogs, even if they covered her in drool. Shirley will be dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Creator.
Shirley went to her heavenly home on Monday, March 14, 2022, attaining the age of sixty-one years, ten months, and twenty-five days. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her and ultimately gave her peace.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rachel Neddermeyer; great-grandson, Jordan Neddermeyer; brother, Keith Crouch; father-in-law, James Morgan; and niece, Melissa Jensen.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 44 years, Jerold Morgan of Denison; sons: Jeremy Morgan and his wife Lisa of Carroll and Ryan Morgan and his wife Kayla of Schleswig; grandchildren: Karlie and Tyler Morgan; Cody and Valerie Neddermeyer; and Lylian, Brody, and Sophia Morgan; 3 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Frances Morgan of Denison; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
