Susan A. Wiebelhaus

May 11, 1959 — April 2, 2019

Susan Ann ("Sue") Wiebelhaus was born May 11, 1959, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the daughter of Lawrence Frankie and LaVonna Lorraine Mullen. She passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, at the age of 59.
She moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where she fell in love with, and became engaged to, the man who would later become her husband. They relocated to Denison, Iowa in 1984.
On August 10, 1985, Sue proudly became Mrs. Darrel Wiebelhaus at the Washington Park in Denison. Over the years, Sue performed jobs for several employers and took part in several business adventures of her own. She managed the office of Darrel's Truck Repair Shop, performed managerial duties at Kum and Go as well as the Coastal Mart, traveled around the area doing inventory at fuel marts and worked part-time at Sparky's. For a time in the 1990's, she was part-owner of a tobacco store called "The Smoke Shop" and in the early 2000's, a coffee shop called "B&W Coffee Corner".
Sue enjoyed reading novels, going to the casino and watching do-it-yourself shows on television. Later in life, bird watching became her favorite past time. She also found great pleasure in get-togethers with family and friends, but her grandchildren and "grand-doggies" were her passion.
Over the years Sue had many special friends. When she loved someone she did it with all her heart. Her friends, quite frequently, were brought into the fold and treated like family. There were no "stepchildren" or "stepparents" in her world; family was family.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include: her husband, Darrel; eight children, Noel and his wife, Krystal, Bobbi, Shawn and his wife, Erin, Mike and his wife, Christina, Shannon and her husband, Daryl, Crystal, Jill, and Melissa and her husband, Jordan; nineteen grandchildren; four sisters, Rose, Gloria, Mary and Tlisa; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Words cannot express how much Sue will be missed by her family and friends.
