Taylor Marie Teut

Taylor Marie Teut was born on October 11, 1995, in Denison, IA the daughter of Craig and Valerie Teut. She was welcomed home in Schleswig, IA by her older siblings, Dylan, and Lacy. She became a baptized child of God on November 12, 1995 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig,
Taylor was known as a child for her “gift of gab,” and was even nicknamed “TT- Talkative Taylor.” She loved to talk and tell stories. She also had a passion for animals and was elated when she got her first cat on her fifth birthday.
She remained active in activities at Schleswig Community School where she attended elementary and middle school. In middle school she played many sports including volleyball, soccer, track, dance, and basketball. She was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church on April 25, 2010.
When she entered high school, Taylor devoted her energy to track, cross country, and soccer. She was committed to her sports and ran and played with passion. Taylor graduated from Denison High School in May of 2014. She entered Iowa State University in Ames in the Fall to study Psychology.
Taylor never outgrew her talkative spirit; it stuck with her. Anytime she entered a room she struck up conversation with anyone, even those she didn’t know. Taylor had a big heart and was loved by many friends, classmates, and schoolmates. Taylor used her kind, gentle spirit to encourage, strengthen, and uplift her friends when they were going through challenges. She was never too busy and always made time to help her friends when they needed it. She loved her family more than anything, and her family was extremely proud of all she accomplished in her short life.
Taylor had an unyielding faith in God. She quoted Scripture to her friends, to her family, and wrote them in many locations to remind her of His love for her. She was involved in many youth group activities at Immanuel and Our Savior Lutheran Church in Denison while she was in high school.
Taylor entered the arms of her Savior on Friday, December 12, 2014 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE at the age of nineteen.
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Craig and Valerie; her brother, Dylan; her sister, Lacy; her maternal grandparents, Dick and Virgene; her paternal grandparents, Lowell and Julie; three great grandmothers, Anna, Dorothy, and Virginia; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other dear friends and relatives.
