Teresa Marie Christiansen Monroe was born August 26, 1955, the daughter of Orville & MaDonna Hansen Christiansen. She passed away in Kansas City, Missouri, on July 12, 2012, at the age of fifty-six.
Teresa was born in Denison, Iowa and was baptized on September 21, 1955. She received her first communion on October 28, 1962 and was Confirmed on May 4, 1962 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison, Iowa. She attended grade school at St. Rose of Lima in Denison, Iowa and continued her education at Denison Community Schools, graduating with the class of 1973. Teresa was united in marriage to David Siemer in 1975 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison, and this union was blessed with three sons: Eric, Nick and Joseph.
She later continued her education in Phoenix, Arizona studying the airline and travel industry. Upon graduation she began a career with America West Airlines and later transferred to Northwest Airlines.
Teresa was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping, traveling, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents; Orvilleand MaDonna Christiansen, one brother, Ted; one nephew, Jeff; one brother-in-law, Larry; and her father and mother-in-law, George and Marsha. Survivors include her husband, John; three sons: Eric and his wife, Denby; Nick and his wife, Erin; and Joseph and his wife, Kristine; five grandchildren: Caleb, Jace, Xander, Miles, and Natalie; andTeresa's dog, Willie. Also nine sisters: Marita and her husband, Allen; Pat; Becky and her husband ,Gene; Kay;Debbie and her husband, Dan; Kelli and her husband, Wade; Kristi and her husband, Jim; Beth and her husband, Russ; Kathy and her husband, Gary; several nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
