Toni Maureen Jepsen

Toni Maureen Jepsen, 75, of Vail, Iowa passed away surrounded by her loved ones on September 5th, 2023, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Toni was born on September 8th, 1947, in Hampton, Iowa to Dean and Ann Wilson. She graduated from Hampton High School and later attended Hamilton Business College, LaJames Cosmetology School, and Liberty Bible College. Toni held various jobs throughout her life but was most proud of her time spent working at Denison Job Corps Center. She also cherished her time spent working as a volunteer CNA for Crawford County Hospice.

Toni made her home in Vail, Iowa with her husband Roger Jepsen. Toni was an active member in her congregation at Grace Church in Denison and was overjoyed at any opportunity to share her faith with others. Her faith and family were the primary focus in her life. She was exceptionally proud of her children and grandchildren. In 2018, she took a once in a lifetime trip to Jerusalem where her favorite memories were walking where Jesus walked and where many of the Bible stories came alive.  It is there that she had an opportunity to ride a camel, and indeed she did. She loved to surprise everyone around her with her quick humor and wit.

Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Ann Wilson; husband, Jerry Hanson; grandson, Evan Lawhead; and brother, Donald Wilson.

Visitation with the family greeting friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023, at the Grace E Free Church in Denison. Her Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, also at Grace E Free Church. Memorials may be directed to the family.
