Vernon Dean Wulf was born August 29, 1942, the son of Nicholas and Martha Wulf. He passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014, at his home in Boyer, Iowa, at the age of seventy-two.
Vernon was born in Vail, Iowa. He was baptized October 11, 1942, at St. John Lutheran Church in Kiron and later confirmed there on March 30, 1958. He received his education and graduated from the Vail Community School. After completing his education he worked at Farmland Foods in Denison for thirty some years. On January 19, 1964, Vernon was united in marriage to Delores Ladehoff. He was married to Irene Schiltz on November 5, 1970. Later married Ann Marie O’Brian and to this union one son was born, Dale.
Vernon enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved socializing with his friends, playing uchre and video games at the bar in Boyer. He also loved horses, hunting and fishing.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, Lorenz Wulf, Katherine Hartman, Vern Wulf, Louis Preul, Velma Wulf, Viola Wulf, Rudolph Wulf, Arnold Wulf, and Betty Jean Braasch. Survivors include two sons, Dale and his wife Jaide; Jeff; and four grandchildren, Landon, Harmony and Hope, and Gregory; one sister-in-law, Loretta; other relatives and friends.
