How can I say what I want to say about my wife...she was the love of my life, the mother of my children, the helpmeet that drove me to be the man I am today. But most of all, she was Mamo to our grandchildren, and to all she met. She had a smile on her face all the time. In the local HyVee or Wal-Mart it didn’t matter where she was, Vicki was always visiting and sharing her faith with all she met. And while doing all of this, she took care of me...got me through a number of surgeries, all kinds of Dr. visits, and hospital stays, while talking to our children and caring for dozens...Vicki and I are truly joined at the hip...never once in the last six months did she complain, moan or groan about what she was going through. She was more concerned about me and how I was doing than herself. That was my Vicki.
We will miss her...absolutely, yet it was her time. Scripture says this:
Ecc. 3:1-4: To all there is an appointed time, even a time for every purpose under the heavens; a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pull up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance.
This was Vicki's time to pass, and now it's our time to mourn. So as we mourn our loss, let us all rejoice that She is in a far better place. She is home with her Savior, Yahushua. Let us all rejoice that we too will join her some day. If you haven't committed your life to Messiah, I would invite you to do that today. BLESSED BE THE NAME OF YAHWEH.
