William Lee Soll was born April 8, 1941, at Denison, Iowa, the son of William and Gladys Limbrecht Soll. He passed away Friday, May 26, 2017, at Nebraska Medial Center in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of seventy-six.
He received his education at the Irwin-Kirkman schools and then began his career in the trucking industry. He first drove truck for Farmland Foods in Denison for many years and was awarded for never having an accident. He then drove independently for Mid-Continent and Crouse Cartage.
On September 2, 1961, William was united in marriage to Janice Schiernbeck. The couple was blessed with the birth of three children. He enjoyed fishing in local ponds and fast cars and raced in auto races in Crawford and Shelby counties, golfing and remodeling and painting his homes. His leisure time was spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, his little dog Sammy and traveling. He enjoyed socializing with his family and friends and was often enjoying coffee at Hy-Vee with his friends. He was united in marriage to Josephine Sawyer September 5, 2009. The couple lived in Mercer Lake, Oregon
William was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jo in 2014; and his brother-in-law, Roger Jensen. Survivors include: two sons, Terry and his wife, Debbie, and Brian; one daughter, Cindy and her husband, Dave; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Delores and Marlys and her husband, Charles.
